The Explosive Election Year - What to Expect
Monday Jan 31, 2022
Monday Jan 31, 2022
Hi Listeners. As you know, I'm fond of producing content in Batches. I am currently working on a series of podcast episodes geared toward this political election year. I'm calling this series Political Woman. Because that is what I am.
Democracy in the United States is at a crossroads, and many of us are not going to sit around and let a vocal minority destroy all the good things our country stands for.
Nothing is more important than communication. It's important to talk to each other. And as uncomfortable as it may be, we must all sanely and politely discuss politics and the process.

”A Sacred Duty” - A Look at A Whistleblower’s Nightmare
Sunday Jan 23, 2022
Sunday Jan 23, 2022
"A Sacred Duty" - A Look at A Whistleblower's Nightmare gives us a personal account of the VA Hospital Patient Care Scandal. This podcast episode is about a courageous woman who did what was right and was tormented for it.
This is a scandal that began before the year 2014.
Veterans began dying because VA Hospital Officials were delaying care and lying about it.
We know about this because of a couple of Whistleblowers. These VA workers would not stop until the public and lawmakers knew what was happening.
Behind the scenes, one of these whistle-blowers was being bullied horribly by administrators.
My guest is Paula Pedene, the VA Public Relations professional working at the Phoenix, Arizona Veteran’s Administration’s Hospital during the scandal that resulted in the deaths of Veterans.
I worked with Paula in Washington D.C. She is a friend—an award-winning PR Professional, and now an author. Her book is “A Sacred Duty, how a Whistleblower took on the VA and Won.” by Paula Pedene.

Happy New Year - How To Successfully Begin 2022
- Every day Talk to Someone You Love. Communicate.
- Focus on Positive Thinking.
- Count your blessings every day.
- If you have trouble remembering to do numbers one, two, and three, Write a List.
None of this is as easy as it sounds. But number four will help you stay on track.
And it would help if you began by cutting back on the number of hours you are watching TikTok videos. Not addicted to TikTok yet? Don't start watching. But this is another podcast episode. Stay Tuned.

How To Avoid A Work Party That Lives On In Infamy (because of YOU!)
Tuesday Dec 07, 2021
Tuesday Dec 07, 2021
I have experience in How to Avoid A Work Party that Lives On in Infamy! Yes, It was my fault. It was the December Holiday Season, not long after the Anniversary of the bombing of Pearl Harbor, which President Franklin D. Roosevelt called, "A Day that will go down in Infamy."
The bottom line is it was a Work Party Disaster.
I have good excuses for what happened. Here is the shortlist: A cheating husband, my quest for a master's degree, my little girl, the Gulf War, non-stop work.
Since I have had this experience, please, don't repeat my mistakes. And there is a very simple way of achieving this goal.

Living On The Streets - My Conversation with A Homeless Man
Friday Nov 26, 2021
Friday Nov 26, 2021
William Menn has been living on the streets of Elk Grove, California, for five years. He once had a business, but he will only say he didn't lose it because of COVID. He fell off his bike recently, and his arm is in a sling; he has a broken collar bone and two cracked ribs. He didn't whine or complain about it, and he didn't ask for money or food. But I offered. And delivered.
Our One-On-One happened because he was sleeping at a bus stop on Elk Grove Boulevard without shoes or socks.
Two days before Thanksgiving and I refused to drive by and forget it. The man needed socks, for God's sake.
When we talked, he wasn't on drugs or drunk; he seemed educated and very well-spoken. He has a sense of humor. At one point, he used this phrase, "They are as worthless at Tits on a Boar Hog." He apologized for the profanity and said it was an old Texas saying. I laughed because I learned that phrase from one of my mentors, Mike Purl, at Channel 30, in Fresno, California.
I am thankful for many things in my life right now. I am extremely thankful I have a home. Anytime you have a conversation with anyone, you discover you have more questions than answers if you listen closely. I do. So I most likely will have a follow-up podcast to this one. Happy Thanksgiving Weekend, Everybody!

Some Of The Things I am Thankful For - Part 2: Thankful for Water
Monday Nov 22, 2021
Monday Nov 22, 2021
I am thankful for many things; I am very thankful for Clean Water.
We use Water for so many things, we must have it, or we die. But we also use it to grow crops, wash clothes, make food; we even use it to make our favorite drinks, coffee, tea, diet coke.
Water is why there is life on earth. And even though it covers 70 percent of our planet. Only 3 percent of the world's Water is fresh, and two-thirds of that is frozen or unreachable. (source: WWF website, https://www.worldwildlife.org/)
