Pearl was happy and thriving in her federal job when she was targeted by a work bully. I tell Pearl's story from hell in Chapter Eight, in my book, "Targeted by Work Bullies - Stories From Hell." Here is Pearl's story in her own words.

Targeted by Work Bullies – Stories from Hell is my short, 90-page, non-fiction book. In it, I tell the stories of five workers including Anthony's story. I interviewed and recorded Anthony on a sunny fall day near the end of 2019. This is his story of being bullied by a female boss when he was a young man just out of high school. Being successful can sometimes happen because of one person. One mentor, one friend, or a family member.

Every time I return home for a visit, all the memories from my childhood come flooding back. I remember how much I wanted to leave home; and how happy I am with that decision.

I left to earn two college degrees and to enjoy a career I loved. Other young women aren’t as fortunate as I. To all those people, men and women, just know you can do it. Just don’t ever quit!

 It's the night before Thanksgiving and I made a special Ham dinner tonight in preparation for the BIG day tomorrow. I'm getting up early to make my stuffing/dressing and I'm going to videotape the entire prep for YouTube. It was a request from Movie-Buddy-Special Nephew Joey.  All of us cooks are busy shopping and cooking; everybody else is going to be watching television or on cell phones and tablets. Remember to take the time to talk to each other One-On-One, as you count your blessings.  In this episode, I've included some of the reasons I'm so thankful this Thanksgiving.

Every now and then I allow myself an angry rant. This podcast episode is about improving One-On-One communication. But I'm going to use a BAD example to tell all of you NOT to ever do this. Great communication requires PRACTICE. It doesn't happen Magically. It's work. Right now there is a crisis going on in Washington D.C. my adopted HomeTown. I watch CNN sometimes and my mouth just drops open. Some of what is being said and done is unbelievable!!! However, we can take some of the negatives and turn them into positives! How? We can watch and NEVER Communicate like the President. This is not about politics; its about communications. Please take it that way. Listen and LEARN. Peace and Love to all of you. The photo I'm using for this podcast is from the 1990s. I was young and filled with fire. Now, I'm older but my fire is still raging. I worked in Washington as a political reporter for 10 years, from 1985 to 1995. I'm sorry I left. I met some great people, one of these is U.S. Representative, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi. I have one picture with the two of us, she came to my going away party after I resigned to moved to Sacramento to become a political reporter here. I can't find that picture. I did try. She is a treasure.
