"I'm safe on Mars. Perseverance will get you anywhere."
And so it will!
Not only is Perseverance a tough, smart, high-tech Mars Land Rover. It is also a great word that is PERFECT for these tough times! Persevere! Hang in there. Don't Quit! Keep Trying! Don't Give Up.
And while you are at it, talk to each other one-on-one.

Please Don't Yell at Each Other In the Grocery Store

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY! AND HAPPY PRESIDENT'S DAY!
As we get our vaccines and try to get out more - WITH MASKS - it seems like we are all out of touch with Best Communication Practices.
I offer some tips on "How to Talk with People" in this episode of One-On-One.
My advice is pretty basic-DON'T TALK POLITICS IN THE HAIR SALON. DON'T PLAY VIDEOS AND AUDIO LOUDLY AT THE NAIL SALON. AND DON'T YELL AT EACH OTHER IN THE GROCERY STORE.
I blame COVID because I'm out of touch with the best way to talk to people. I know this is true; People in Hell Want Ice Water! And being locked up makes me feel like I'm dying of THIRST!

Impeachment - How It Works
Monday Feb 08, 2021
Monday Feb 08, 2021
Impeachment is going to be on the minds of many American's this coming week. The U.S. Senate will begin Donald J. Trump's Impeachment Trial on Tuesday, Feb. 9. Someone asked me recently, "If the House of Representatives Impeached him already, what is the Senate doing?" The Senate is responsible for the Impeachment Trial.
There are multiple steps to the Impeachment of a President. I've outlined some of them in this One-On-One Episode.

Our Best Presidential Communicators - Why They Are Great
Saturday Feb 06, 2021
Saturday Feb 06, 2021
February is not only a month to celebrate love and Black History Month; we also acknowledge some Presidential Birthdays.
Four chief executives were born in Feb. Since I can't buy them a Pinata stuffed with candy, I thought I'd honor our best Presidential Communicators with a One-On-One episode.
We have much to learn from our best Presidential Communicators. They each take great care with their words. They practice before they speak; they are thoughtful. More importantly, they use the power of words and speech to Unite.

The U.S. Capitol, Hate, Racism, Insurgents, Lies, Impeachment, Death, and Love. The title of this episode of Gloria Moraga - One-On-One says it all. 2021 has been a hell of a year, and it's only January.
A woman I love very much, my Auntie Gloria died yesterday; and today would have been my mother's birthday, but she died decades ago of cancer.
So, of all the topics and communication issues discussed in this podcast, my most important message is to talk to your loved ones and tell them, "I love You!"

What A Mess - One-On-One with Professor Mal Hyman
Friday Jan 01, 2021
Friday Jan 01, 2021
Happy New Year! Here are some big numbers to ponder as we begin 2021. 59, 46, and 10-Plus Big Ones.
In just 20 days, on Wednesday, January 20, the 59th Presidential Inauguration in American history will take place, and Joe Biden will be sworn in as the 46th President of the United States. Of course, George Washington was number one and his big day took place on April 30, 1789.
As for the 10 Big ones: I'm talking about problems. President Bident and his historic female vice president, Kamala Harris, are being handed a gigantic pile of issues.
Here are just 10:
1. Unemployment, 2. Housing, 3. Homelessness, 4. Public Education, 5. The Pandemic, 6. The distribution of the vaccine, 7. A new strain of the Virus, 8. The economy, 9. A crumbling infrastructure, 10. A Foreign Policy Mess, 11. Cyber-Hackers from Russia, 12. Global Warming. 13. Racism.
I realize that's more than 10, but I really couldn't stop at 10. There are more. I spoke with Professor of Sociology and Political Science Mal Hyman about some of these problems in this One-On-One's Episode.

Her book is called "Another Night on the City Streets - Stories from the Police Blotter." The author is one of the earliest female sheriff's deputies to work in Sacramento County, California. And does she have some stories to tell? I meet Patricia Rayzor Ditlevsen more than a year ago and have worked with her off and one during the pandemic to get her book formated for self-publication on Amazon. On Thursday, December 10, 2020, we pushed the button, and the book is now for sale.

5. Episode 5 - Targeted by Work Bullies - The Audiobook! (Final Episode)
Monday Dec 14, 2020
Monday Dec 14, 2020
It's the holiday season, and many Americans are ignoring medical experts to stay home because of COVID19. The death toll in this country is 300,000, and that number, the highest in the world, is climbing.
How much of this is because many were bullied or shamed into NOT wearing masks or NOT taking the Pandemic seriously?
I know I can't blame EVERYTHING on Bullying, but I will be glad when this President fades away into history. This is my final episode of my Bullying Audiobook. I hope you will share my podcasts and subscribe.
Coming up my One-On-One with the Author of "Another Night on the City Streets." And a One-On-One with my favorite millennials about 2021!!
