Mistakes at Work - Mistakes in Life
Monday Aug 03, 2020
Monday Aug 03, 2020
There are errors and missteps, and then there are Major Mistakes! Things happen. Things go wrong. I’m not talking about major life-altering mistakes like driving a car when you are drunk. I’m talking about typos that you didn’t check. Or saying the wrong word during a live broadcast. Most mistakes can be fixed. Communicate - Always say you are sorry, own it, fix it if possible. Then move on. Face your mistakes - One-On-One.

Here is the definition of Perfect, "The condition, state, or quality of being free or as free as possible from all flaws or defects."
We all strive for perfection. It's rare to achieve or even see it. Still, we try. If you work with someone who is "Little Miss Perfect," I have some tips on how to deal. Don't make the One-On-One Mistakes I made.

Make Friends - Live Longer!
Thursday Jul 30, 2020
Thursday Jul 30, 2020
How many times have you been "Unfriended?" It's happened to me many times and not just online. Multiple studies show that friends, real friends help us all live a longer life. In fact, research from Australia documents that NOT having friends cuts our lives as short as Smoking 15 Cigarettes a DAY!
I need to make more friends!

Another Bad Day - Lessons in Better Communications
Sunday Jul 19, 2020
Sunday Jul 19, 2020
I had a really bad day recently. Another one. My Bad Day was filled with valuable lessons on how to be a better communicator. A loved one had medical problems, we had to call 911. And then a number of things went wrong after that; and once again I found myself circling the hospital searching for a place to park and not finding one. As always, bad times are made worse with bad communication. If you stay calm and talk to each other and explain the situation the disaster can turn out okay. Not great but okay.
People are grumpy these days, these are stressful times. We can all make it a little easier for each other by talking to each other and loving each other.
I made some communication mistakes on my recent bad day, but I also did some things right. Let me know what you think. Please share and subscribe to my podcast.

Beating Depression! [Step-by-Step Ways To Fight Sadness]
Wednesday Jul 08, 2020
Wednesday Jul 08, 2020
I Beat Depression every day. Sometimes it isn't easy. But take it step-by-step. This is my plan. If you need help please see a doctor.
There is actually a name for what I once called my "Creepy Sunday Feeling. Researchers call it "The Sunday Scaries" and "Sunday Night Dread." It is an increased level of anxiety because Monday is a workday for most of us. There are ways to beat the Sunday Scaries and if the pandemic is creating more anxiety and depression for you those same solutions can help. Just don't despair. We are all in this together, and the sadness is usually temporary.
I quote many articles in this episode of "One-On-One." Here are some links and I have additional information on my website, gloriamoraga.com.

Keeping the Faith!
Tuesday Jun 16, 2020
Tuesday Jun 16, 2020
The number of people who will begin practicing a RELIGION is expected to increase in the coming years, according to a recent study. There is no study on the number of people who have FAITH. Faith is defined as having complete Trust and Confidence in someone or something. Now is a great time to have one or the other or both. Billions of people in the world practice one of the six religions listed below. It is amazing how beautiful the beliefs of these religions are. Buddhism: "Live in the Present and Practice acceptance of others." Judaism: "Emphasis Moral Behavior and Action in this World." Islam: "Means Pease and submission, say a daily prayer, help those in poverty." Christianity: "Practice Charity, treat others as you would like to be treated yourself." Think about how great the world would be if we did these things every day. Now is a good time to begin.
- Christianity: 2.1 billion.
- Islam: 1.3 billion.
- Hinduism: 900 million.
- Buddhism: 376 million.
- Sikhism: 23 million.
- Judaism: 14 million

Political Women Vote!
Wednesday Jun 10, 2020
Wednesday Jun 10, 2020
I'm a Political Woman & I Vote! What I mean is, I like Democracy, I like watching the political process, I like voting. So this should be one of my favorite years. 2020 is a Presidential Election year, and it is also the 100th Anniversary of the passage of the 19th Amendment which gives women the right to vote. And we DO Vote! Women vote in higher numbers than men and have done so in every election since 1964. In 2016, 9.9 million more women than men voted. This information is from the "Center for American Women in Politics."
Not only will Americans vote on for a new or old president this year, but we will also decide which US Congressmembers get to keep their jobs. That includes all the members of the US House of Representatives and One-Third of the Senate. If you are thrilled with the way the country is being run, then you can ignore my new series called “Political Woman.” If you are hoping for a change, then watch, listen, subscribe, and VOTE!
